No. 5 Boise State at No. 19 Georgia (Kick off @ 8pm broadcast on ESPN)

Utah State at No. 23 Auburn

Kent State at No. 2 Alabama

Louisiana-Monroe at No. 6 Florida State

Florida Atlantic at No. 22 Florida

No. 3 Oregon vs. No. 4 LSU (this game will be played at a neutral location)

Western Michigan at Michigan

Montana at Tennessee

BS; AU; Al; FSU; UF; LSU; U of M; TN ( who paid Montana a record $500,000 for the privilege of an opening day win.)

LSU-Oregon should be the best game on.

Usually, the first game of the season for most powerhouse college football teams are against smaller and weaker schools. That isn't the case for UGA or LSU as they start the season against teams ranked higher than themselves.

Boise State ranked 5th will play the 19th ranked Dawgs between the hedges, but who is going to come out on top? Some say this UGA team is the best Richt has had since he began coaching in Athens, but already they have been hit with injuries. Offensive Tackle Trinton Sturdivant is out for the season with a knee injury as is Brandon Burrow at Linebacker with a shoulder injury. Right now, it's not known if defensive lineman Jonathan Jenkins will play as he has an injured hamstring. Boise State so far, has nobody on their injured list. I really want to see the Dawgs win their season opener, but it just isn't going to happen. Boise State by 7.

4th ranked LSU takes on #3 Oregon and this should be one heck of a football game. LSU wide receiver Jarvis Landry has a foot injury and it's questionable if he will play or not. If both these teams win their conference championships, we just may see them play for the BCS Championship at the end of this season. LSU was fantastic in all of their close games last season, but the injury to Landry could effect the outcome and their QB Jefferson really needs to break out. Boise's only loss last year was to Auburn for the national championship. The odds makers are going with Boise by 2. I'll take LSU in this one.

My picks for the rest:

Auburn
Alabama

Auburn pulled that one out of their behind. Not at all the game anyone expected. It was also pretty obvious that The Smurfs weren't playing a top 25 team.

Utah went into that prevent defense and blew it. Why do teams do that? I've seen more teams end up losing a lead and the game going to a prevent defense. Their coverage on that onside kick was a disaster; nobody blocked.
