Cobb BOE Votes To Restore Traditional School Calendar

It's nice to hear from the people that you work for but they should not have had a vote this time around. They should have simply come out and said, "We know the majority has voted in favor of the balanced calendar in the past but with the budget issues that we are facing at this time, we simply can not continue with that calendar for now. If and when our financial situation improves we will be more than happy to revisit the issue. For now though we must make the most fiscally responsible decisions that best protect the education of our children."

I'm a big fan of the "balanced" calendar but I'm no idiot. There's only so much money and it has to be spent very, very carefully right now.

Yep. My boys are big fans of eating out. Guess what? We just can't do that as much anymore. They're stuck with good ole homecookin'! We're cutting back things that in better times we could indulge. It's just the way it is. And guess what? I don't ask their opinion about it! LOL

It doesn't seem that they did Mrs B. :( Did you see New Jersey Governor Chris Christie at his last Town Hall Meeting. Now if you want to talk Teachers, Unions, and Budget just have a listen to his thoughts. Wow!
