Baby Food Shortage

Our precious Kiddo was adopted at birth, and boy did she ever have an appetite !!!

We were entirely dependent on formula, and flat broke from spending all of our savings to ensure her safe arrival.
We were so lucky that the hospital provided us with a month's worth of feedings, and then my husband had a coworker
on WIC whose baby could not use the free formula, so she gave us a 6 month supply. That Kiddo ate every 2-3 hours !!!

Babies are so crazy expensive during that first year, I cannot imagine what these young parents are facing.
We were much older and more secure than most first-time parents, but the expenses were still a challenge.

Add in inflation and total federal incompetence... sounds like a nightmare.

Scary times with these clueless morons in charge...

I read they never found the contamination at the plant. I also though it was odd we shut it down for so long... but instead of working to get it going, they were willing to import from overseas?

House Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn., is addressing the ongoing baby formula shortage afflicting the nation, introducing an emergency measure that would provide $28 million to the FDA to deal with the crisis and prevent future ones.


The supplemental appropriations bill also seeks to keep fraudulent items out of the marketplace.

"The stories of mothers and fathers struggling to find formula and the images of empty store shelves are heartbreaking," DeLauro said in a statement. "Parents and caretakers across the country cannot wait – they need our support now. This bill takes important steps to restore supply in a safe and secure manner."

This is nothing more than an attempt to try to make him proactive. It's funny how the baby formula manufacturer was shut down by the FDA and then when the shortage of formula became critical, it was opened without ever finding the contaminant. I think this was nothing more than a scam by the administration to create the shortage and then come to the rescue.

Proactive would have been doing something when they shut the plant down.

He's just trying to make the sheeple think he's doing something.
