I think they only want people who agree with them on "all" their issues, 100% of the time. For example; I thought that socialized medicine might actually be a good idea. I also don't think that full time employees of large billion dollar corporations should be paid so little, that they end up having to turn to welfare, medicaid, and food stamps to survive (putting that burden on taxpayers), all the while they rake in billions in profit. I think we need better background checks for gun owners, but otherwise am against any kinds of bans on them.
However, I am against abortion, don't agree with gay "marriage", (although I would reluctantly go along with a legal "domestic partnership)," don't want males in female restrooms, and would love to see some sort of system like the fair tax. I also don't see why college tuition should be "free", as most college students are young and healthy and should be able to work and "earn" their degree. *Not sure it would truly be appreciated if it is just handed to them*
Apparently, I don't totally fit in 100% on either side. My thought was socialism for medicine (I am not sure that profit driven medicine truly puts the patients best interest first), and capitalism for everything else.
I want to think both with my "head", and my "heart". But, the left just keeps pushing so much, and I don't want socialism, that clearly isn't working out in other countries.
(Caution: this song uses profanity, wish they had left those words out)
