Anyone Have a Copy....

Of The Fountainhead? I have packed all my books except for a handful that I haven't read. But none of them I can get into. I'm seriously on an Ayn Rand kick right now. I just want to borrow it, and i will take super good care of it! If not, I'll check the used bookstore again.

TIA!!!

I have it somewhere. I'll have to find it, its been a while since I've seen it. I haven't read it in years.

Callahan, I thought of getting it on my Kindle, but it was packed.... SO I THOUGHT! The Fountainhead is expensive. Brand new, even in paperback it was $18 at B&N, and on Amazon it's $15. Used I forgot how much... then shipping, etc. Anyway, I just remembered that my Kindle is not, in fact, packed. So, I got Anthem instead for free. Woohoo!!

This is a short book, though (relative to Rand's other works, LOL). So Madea, if you find The Fountainhead, I would LOVE to borrow it, and I will give you a million hugs! LOL

Actually, it was packed, kinda. The box hasn't been taped yet. LOL

Dang. I didn't even think about the library. LOL

Madea, thank you! I will let you know.

Grey, you're silly. LOL

Don't tell me you haven't see the movie, Pumpkinhead!

I have! Many years ago.

But I assure you, this book isn't a sequel or prequel to that. LOL

Which one do you go to? My MIL is the storytime person in Hiram.

I feel so dumb. I lived in the library when I was a kid. Even in HS I LOVED the library.
I'm ashamed to say it, but I do not even have a library card. LOL

I will get one, and check out TF there. And, I think I'd like to take BabyB to story time! Where is Harmony Grove?

Off 61/Dabbs Bridge. Up the road a few miles from your new house. Woo hoo!

I have a confession to make. I've never read Ayn Rand. I've always been too skeert...I love reading, and I can read huge tomes, but for some reason, her stuff just seems so...over my head. I must overcome my hesitation...what should I read first? (I also don't like to read Jane Austen. Love her stories, but reading them is like eating dirt. GAH!!!)

Her books are good. It might take a few chapters to get into them, but I can read them, and like you can not stand Austen. Ugh.

Yeah, I can't do Austin, either. Blah. LOL

You must read Rand. Most of these I read years and years ago, but it's been so long that I've forgotten most of the stories.

Start off with either Anthem or We the Living. You will LOVE WtL. I did. With Atlas Shrugged it took me forever, but mostly because my reading time is limited with the babe.
