SO I had an appointment to get my oil changed at Kaufman today in Hiram. I knew my tires get rotated with the oil change and I even asked to make sure that was included. I always mark the 2 front tires when doing so ( you would be surprised who doesn't rotate when they say they do)

SO they call me up and I pay for my services and start outside. The service tech walked out with me to get another car so we chit chatted. Thats when I noticed my tires have not moved. I asked and they said yes...I should him the markings on the tires and assured him they didn't. Then he said it wasn't on the service order. I then asked him what came with the oil change and he said tire rotation at the end. Then he said I needed new tires so that is why they didn't rotate them and by law they can't. I told him Thanks but I just got new tires in Nov and assured him they were fine. I even had the paper work from when I got them. He still refused to do it. SO I said I was gonna have to go somewhere else to get my tires rotated and that they needed to inform me of this before they performed service on my car. SO after he saw I knew what I was talking about and that I was not budging he ended up refunding my money. He told me good luck because I wouldn't find ANYONE to do it for me. That is when I went to Big Ten asked them about my tire tread which they said was GREAT and I had no worries and they rotated my tires for free. I tried to pay them but they wouldn't let me.


SO long story short Big 10 as made me a customer of theirs now
 
AWESOME!!! I've never used K before myself, but I've heard an AWFUL lot of people complain about them. Great for Big 10!!!

PS - How do you mark your tires?

PPS - I take it you didn't get another job offer? :D

i mark them with a sharpie... it wears off in a couple of days i mark l1 and r1

nope.. hano more job offers
 
I can't stand Kauffman!!! I bought my tires there because they were having a deal when I got mine, but their customer service is TERRIBLE!!! I'm glad you got your money back and even got a free rotation!

Oh, cool. I've thought of doing it with fingernail polish, but I figured that would be too obvious. :D
 
Fraud, lies, and mountains of bull pucky. OMG the people you've run into lately are so lucky they haven't dealt with an explosive temperament when they pull the crap that's been pulled on you.

What have you done that's got all these tests being thrown at you lately, missy? lol!

Totally off the subject, but I worked for a firm that did a lot of work for Kauffman Tire many years ago and the owner of Kauffman Tire was super HAWT!

I am all about things being easy on the eyes :p

but I also need it to be easy on the wallet... but hawt or not if you lie to me and try to rip me off your hotness turns into something not so purdy
 
This sort of crap is why I just rotate my tires myself. My husband thinks I'm crazy but I get a little exercise and I know my tires get rotated.

yeah, I use to until my back injury.... my back just would not allow me to do this anymore so now I have to rely on others
 
The one and only time I went there they over-charged me for my tires, over-tightened my lugs, and moved so slowly that I'm pretty sure time changed while I was there. Never again.
