President Trump, moving with haste to slow the spread of the coronavirus, is preparing a plan to mobilize the National Guard to help enforce a two-week quarantine of the public if his tough-love efforts so far fail.

The unprecedented action would require everyone to “stay at home,” according to a source knowledgeable of the evolving plan.

The effort, which is still being mulled and wouldn’t be announced until early next week if needed, would urge that all businesses, except grocery stores and pharmacies, be closed.

Guess I'll go fill up my truck and all the gas cans in a bit. Grocery store open won't do a damn bit of good if trucks can't get fuel and people around here can't get gas to get to the Grocery store. I can't walk the 5 miles to publix and bring back everything. They will be out of shopping carts within minutes after everyone pushes them home and keeps it for next trip.

Trump is disappointing me with the shallow responses to this crisis. (along with the rest of Washington)

PS. What about combination stores? Target and Walmart are Groceries and other stuff. How are they going to control that?

Yep, son went to buy ammo to sight his rifle and go target shooting. With their ski resort, gym, and other weekend events shut due to coronavirus, they figured they would go out target shooting. His wife got a new shotgun for Christmas so it gave them a chance to improve her use of the gun, she usually uses handguns. He was only allowed two boxes of ammo. He said we can't go out use too many shells if the stores are out.
