They didn't have bleached bread back then though. White bread is really not good for you. Even breads like "white wheat" or honey wheat are usually white bread. Whenever possible, I eat only whole wheat or whole grain bread. I actually like it better.I think that while some of our science is true - the biggest problem is also science. We have modified and screwed with food so much that some of it isn't really food.
Bread was in the Bible. Bread has been a staple food in cultures across the world for...like...forever. I think it's important to differentiate between the real food and our processed foods. I feel like that's the biggest problem. That, and our sedentary lifestyles that come from many jobs.
