Yellow Box

LisaC

I'm here to spin the moral compass.
It seems like someone here loves Yellow Box sandals so I just wanted to let y'all know that Belk is having a one day sale on Saturday - Yellow Box sandals are going to be on sale for 40% off.

That's my PSA today.

At 40% I'd be willing to make my first try, but I have to say I'm not thrilled with the ones I bought for my daughter.

A few weeks before school was out (when it was so hot) we were at the mall and she needed some flip flops. I bit the bullet and purchased her some Yellow Box with the hopes they would last all summer. We were having trouble with them before school was out. They've already been to the shoe repair once and need to go back. Ugh. For $20, she's still wearing them.

I would rather pay full price than deal with the shoe dept at Belk when they are having a sale! Last time I went there were shoes everywhere and people were so rude. :rant

I'm going white water rafting. (Pray for me!)

Somebody pick up everything in a size 6 for me, please!
Where are you going? The girls and I were just talking about doing a white water girls weekend!

Ditto!!! But I love online shoe-buying, anyway. Mother is an unusual fit (10N) and she just found two LOVELY pair of sandal/pump/whatevers on amazon. I like zappos and a few others as well. And then Mr. Fed Ex just brings them right to my door. Happy, happy!!!

I like Zappos too! Many times I can find the shoe I want for less than the store.

I usually go to the Belk on 120 for one day sales - the shoe dept. is busy, but they're a lot more efficient than Town Center or Arbor Place.

They are, but it so small. :(

Our daughter, who I think is close to the same age as yours, has gone through 5 pairs of flip flops since May...I refuse to buy her more expensive ones!

See, over the total summer (warm weather in general) we go through quite a few pairs. That's why I thought if I sprung for these we might get through the whole summer. The problem with them is more cosmetic than anything, but it's still annoying. Of course, I failed to take into account her fashion sense. :))

Last summer, I bought a pair of Nike flip flops for about $20. I have to say that they are hands down the most comfortable flip flops I've ever owned - I still wear them. I've never tried Yellow Box, but so many people rave about them that I might give them a try.

The regular flip flops (what everyone thinks of when you say "yellow box") are okay. But I have a couple of pairs of wedges (yes, I'm awful about buying multiples!) that are the most comfortable sandals I've ever owned.

I bought them a couple of years ago (in pewter and in bronze) and I wear either pair almost every day. I get so many compliments on them, but they are really kind to my feet! Love them....and wish I could find more!

ETA: They are similar to these for the base. The top is a woven/lacy metallic leather.

I love Yellow Box!! I have two pair. When I was pregnant those are the only ones that I could were, and flip flops were all I could wear due to my fat, swelling feet. I still wear them everyday and they have held up great.
