No, it doesn't look/read very nicely but she does not have any special knowledge of the incident and just assumes the worst ... and throws fuel on the fire that was already about to explode. Horribly irresponsible for her to react/speak in that way at this point. If it turns out the it was not a good shoot, by all means take whatever action is necessary but when you assume the worst and speak it from such a position you do nothing but cause more harm. And she's saying that the Mayor should have apologized to the family ... if it turns out to be a justified shoot I wonder if she would expect the family to apologize to the officer?
 
Even if it's a justified shoot, this small-minded politician will still insist it was murder an the city is trying to cover it up.
 
I read the news story. The councilwoman is black, the invidual shot by the officer was black. I wonder if the officer was white? This could get real ugly and the councilwoman is probably stirring the pot for her political aspirations.
