WI Supreme Court Rules State Did Not Have Authority to Abandon Voter ID Rules Due to COVID

I was concerned this would happen, that there will be rulings well after the states certify and the electors cast their votes. So what happens if we find out in a few weeks that Trump actually won? I don't know that answer.

What would happen would likely be nothing. While it has never come up, almost all constitutional lawyers I've been following agree that the vote by the Electoral College is an end that cannot be undone. The Supreme Court would be put in a Constitutional vice. They are not going to assume the role of what would amount to appointing a President, or disavowing the decision of the College which still retains on a state by state basis the ability to make some decisions within the bounds of state law. It is no longer a question of who will be the next President. It may still be a question of who should have been, but don't look to SCOTUS to overturn anything from here on out.
