Whiskey Sliders... Oh.my.word.

I made these sliders for dinner last night. They were fantastic! I've been eating a lot of salads lately and I needed something "gross" :)) So, I made these at the urging of a friend that makes these often:

These were so good, and I found myself eating the sauce by the spoonful. Nom nom nom

I used Kraft Honey BBQ sauce, but will not next time. It has HFCS and I couldn't keep reading labels - had to pee. But, I will use a honey BBQ sauce next time. Bakery dinner rolls work well, too, but I suppose you could really use anything.

Also, sadly a 100ml bottle of Jack is exactly enough for the sauce, so be sure to buy bigger if you like to sip whilst cooking!

Have you ever had the Jack glaze at TGIF's? It sounds like that and oh my gosh that stuff is good. I might make up some glaze for some salmon!

No, I haven't! I actually can't remember the last time I was at a TGIF, lol. I am not a huge fan of ground beef, but this sauce is sooo good. I bet it would go good with anything you'd want glazed!

Nom, nom!! I love the pioneer woman. She's a great cook and doesn't have one of those grating, boring voices. She really seems to enjoy everything she makes.

That looks delicious... Ima gonna make me some this weekend... thanks for the recipe.

HB, let me know what you think! As a note, don't follow her times as gospel. The times she lists for the onions to cook, etc. are not long enough. Cook the onions until soft/clear. It took me just a bit longer for the whisky to reduce, too.

I used only 1lb of beef and got 8 little burgers. I used full amounts on all other ingredients, though. Make fries as a side so you can pour this sauce over them. LOL

NG, I love her as much as Paula Deen! Lol I have made several PW recipes and they are all good! Her vodka sauce is delicious!!

I used several of her recipes for Thanksgiving when I hosted about 35 family members, including her turkey brine. It was the yummiest evah!

My husband hates that sauce. He says it's too sweet and ruined his steak. :))

That's interesting because I do not eat sweets and do not find it sweet at all!

I wonder if they've changed the sauce then. Of course, he hasn't tried it since 2000. :laugh And, I know that because we ordered our food and right after that I thought I was going into labor. I wasn't. Son was born a week later. :))

:)) I remember things because of life events too! They might have changed it since then or it could be the cook. I am pretty sure they make that so it could be certain cooks sweeten it up a bit. I didn't think about that until I was speaking with my gf and she adds a ton of brown sugar to it. Yuck. I want to taste the whiskey. :whistle
