Where the money is going.

Gee, billions to other countries.... what about America itself? Oh yeah, that's $600 bucks a person. What a bunch of jerks we have in our government. Who the hell allows this to pass? Keep the damn 600 bucks and veto the hell out of this thing.
 
Last year I paid around $24k in taxes and get back $1800 in stimulus. Now that the dems are taking office, I think I'm going to need a much larger jar of Vaseline for next year!!!
 
Heard Rush talking about this today. His take - 330 million Americans at $600 each is $198 billion. The bill totals 900 billion. The other 700 billion goes to "other stuff", mostly democrat cronies and programs.

I don't know if every American gets $600, though. Would a family of 5 with 2 parents and 3 small kids get $3000?

I will say...even a bunch of Democrats are hot over this one. I think Pelosi's days might be numbered.

He's pissed because Americans are getting the short end of this stimulus package, while foreign countries are getting much more. At least he recognizes the waste in this bill. The question now becomes "will he veto it if they increase the benefits to $2,000 without removing the waste?"

Honestly, the amount Americans are getting doesn't bother me that much, it's all the money that's being thrown at pork and other countries that pisses me off.

As usual, this bill is maybe 25% COVID relief and the rest is throwing money at pet projects.

And we wonder why we're in such debt.

I agree with you. The Dems know he's pissed about that and wants them removed. I seriously doubt the Dems will remove the wasteful spending from it.

There is a saying in the Army, "Good leaders eat last." It means ensure your soldiers needs are taken care of first before your own. This is what Gabbard is demonstrating when she says members of Congress should hold off on getting the vaccine until the most vulnerable are taken care of first.

She is correct when she says this stimulus bill is a slap in the face to Americans. Trump said the same thing, so it's nice to see a Democrat on the same page with him on this issue. Gabbard strikes me more of a fiscal conservative than her fellow party members in the House.

In all fairness, AOC was leading by example. A lot of the early concern of the people turned into mistrust of the safety of the vaccine, while AOC said she would not ask any of her constituents to do anything she wouldn't,,, ergo she's getting the shots, or maybe saline injections because she doesn't trust it either, but it looks good to the masses. JMHO.
