What is it?

This is a pic of my pond that I think I accidentally took while bouncing around in my golf cart.

Look closely at the sun rays and the red object I have no idea what that is, or why the sun rays seem to be going toward or from it.

I'll go with what some others have said...spider web. BUT...if that's true then let's not forget one important aspect...that big arse red spider weighing down the web. Forget the sun rays, the web, the leaves and everything else. Just run from that big RED spider. Or is that a deer caught in the web? Either way...RUN!!!

Interesting, I do see how it could be a web. And the critter in the middle, or leaf, is not clear enough to figure out.

Spider and web. I have seen more of that type of spider this year than I think I ever have. Not sure what type it is, nor if it’s poisonous or not, but they sure are UGLY! And I bet it’d hurt when they bite you.
