What do you use?

What kind of bible do you use? And do you like to do word studies using a concordance?

Me: I have several bibles but my fav "go to" bible is my Zondervan NIV Study Bible. Had it for about 16 years and it shows.

I love doing word studies and going back to the original language to find the deeper meaning of scripture. I use the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance for that. It's showing it's wear and tear too but I'm not planning on replacing it, or the bible, cuz then all my notes and scribbles would be gone. :)

What about you?

The Queen James Version... :whistle
:))

I knew you would like that. I actually use an NIV, New American Standard, and a King James. I also have Bible.is on my iPad so I can look at different interpretations. As for study guides, we have Strong's, but I tend to venture to the internet more for research too.

But, there is a "Queen James Version" of the Bible. You can read more about it at queenjamesbible.com and here is a description from Huffington:
The website explains that "homosexuality was first overtly mentioned in the
Bible in 1946 in the Revised Standard Version. There is no mention of or
reference to homosexuality in any Bible prior to this -- only interpretations
have been made." The new edits are only "for interpretive clarity. The edits all
confirm that the Bible does not condemn homosexuality, and therefore renders
such interpretations impossible."

Same, and I have an NKJV too (that's what pastor reads from in church). And don't you love having the bible on your ipad? I have it on my iphone for reference when I'm not near my bible. I tried using it in church one day, when I forgot my bible, and it didn't felt guilty for staring at my phone...lol.

I don't understand how we did!

Me either, I think they have conversations around here that they don't invite us to participate in....
We just won't invite any of them to our reindeer games anymore. :))

New Living Translation. NIV before that, NASB before that, KJV before that. Next will prolly be Amplified.

My daddy HATES my NIV and if I post any bible verse thingie on FB my momma tells me that is not what her bible says lol

Hey, if the King James Version was good enough for Paul and Silas, dammit, it's good enough for us!
