My Dad went for the old Impalas and Caprice Classics. His last car was a 1979 Caprice Classic, silver. The thing was like driving a land yacht to me. :))

My Dad had an awesome Navy Blue Monte Carlo in the 80's. We used to cruise around in it jamming to Creedence Clearwater Revival's Greatest Hits on cassette. Good times!!

:CLAP

Back when I was a kid, my dad always drove station wagons. But that was partly because he used them for business too. He was a Dodge and Plymouth guy back then.

After I moved out he got an S-10 pickup truck. A Dodge Dakota after that. He always kept my mom in Chryslers and Caddilacs.

The cars I can remeber, 60 olds something, 65 olds delta 88, 68 buick lasabre, 70 olds delta 455 4 bbl, 72 olds regency, and umm there tires didnt last to long afater i got my license..

My Daddy was a trader...standing joke was that he'd trade us in if he thought he could get something for us. But he was a Ford man, and then in later years, a Toyota man. He did own a few Chryslers in the good years as well. My fondest memories of him are in his (whichever one he owned at the time) Ford truck.

First car I remember was a 1948 Willys Jeepater, followed by a 1954 Ford Station wagon, a 1956 Chevy Nomad, a 1959 Chevy Impala, a 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible (I still have it), a 1965 Oldsmobile F-85 with a 215 Aluminum V-8, a 1969 Ford LTD Station wagon with woodgrain sides and a jump seat in the back, and finally a 1976 Toyota Celica Liftback.

My grandfather had a 1957 Ford Skyliner hardtop convertible. I loved that car.

My dad was an American Motors Man, Ramblers were his choice. He traded cars every two years.

We had one of these (there were 8 of us counting mom and dad)

You should have seen the eight of us in it!! :laugh

Seems like I remember an old Green Ford way back when.

Those old Ramblers were tough as nails. Slow and ugly, but they ran forever.

Sure was sad to see their demise.

Daddy drove a black Nova with red interior we called Betsy forever. I remember once I took my seatbelt off while in the back of it and Daddy had to stop quick on Ashland Terrace and I flew up to the front seat. Ouch. Another time we were at at stop light on Hixson Pike and I looked over to the car next to us and started to mouth, "Help!" to the driver. Daddy didn't think that was funny. At all. I was 5.

I loved that car. So many memories.....

Haha. You little trouble maker.

My dad mostly drove Dodge Vans. He had a 60's model Ford truck and a white 73 suburban provided from work. We called it the "White Heap".
