What are your plans for the rest of the summer?

My in-laws are heading this way, including parents, sister and her son. Going to spend a few days around the 4th with us. We will probably end up taking in a water park, and shooting a few fireworks. The weather has been so dry, it might put a damper on the fireworks part.

Mrs. Mac and I are counting down until we leave for SCOTLAND!!! Very excited. This will be the first vacation we have taken in a couple of years. Our last one was the cruise to Alaska.

Seeing family and friends this weekend. My nephew is home on leave from Afghanistan, and we are celebrating that and the 1 year birthday of his son.

I bet you are excited to see you nephew too! My husbands secretary just went back. She is single though and stopped in Atlanta to say hi and took her R&R in Hawaii! )

So far, I just have Hilton Head for a week in July (timing not my choice, but the whole fam is going as usual, so I got outvoted). A trip to Colorado may in the works again as well...we shall see.

WOW...Scotland....?..Now that sounds like an exciting trip.....you all have a great time...

I got a camper trailer at my mom's house that's just sitting there....Chevy would love to go and pull it to the Gulf....my brother lives at a camp site and working near the Gulf and he goes home at least once a month to check on things...but he has been telling us how nice it is to live there and go boating and fishing on weekends.......which Chevy loves...My sister and her husband just bought a home there as well....so we are thinking pulling the camper to an open site next to my brother for the summer....sounds nice....he will be able to keep an eye on it and he has almost got me thinking that would be the thing to do....LOL....we will go this weekend and get things done......I know my sister calls me everyday and tells me how much fun I am missing out on.....if all goes well...this will be my summer..

Ooh...where in Colorado? I discovered Grand Junction last year and fell in LOVE. It has a totally Texas feel...

Cuchara. its about 3.5 hours south of Denver. My Momma got married and moved out there.

Cuchara. its about 3.5 hours south of Denver. My Momma got married and moved out there.

We were near there! We took a loop from Denver to Grand Junction to Durango (through the San Juans) and then hit I-25 at Walsenburg to go back to Denver. Very interesting places!

Unfortunately, most of the summer will be pretty insane for me because of the business I'm in. We all need nerve pills until fall gets here.

As for my summer..I will be working all summer. Kiddo moves into dorm in August..then hopefully if it all plans out properly we are taking a vacation when kiddo #2 has a break from school. I'll need it by then

Yes, the tour group is called Rabbies. They got very high marks in all the reviews i could find on them.

We return on a Wednesday evening, then will spend Thursday doing "something." I'm leaning towards renting a car and trying to drive around a bit, doing some more exploring.

Friday, early, we catch a flight back to Nashville, getting in mid-afternoon.

Can't wait!
