It's just getting to the point where you just can't enjoy yourself anymore :BH

I rolled the garbage can down to the street and there's the typical flyer in a plastic bag at the street. Just another piece of garbage I have to pick up....that I've never asked for.....and don't want.....and don't need.

I bent down to pick it up and my Droid slides out of the holder and lands face down on the street.

Yep, it shattered the screen like an old 110 year old man's teeth after catching a line drive in his mouth. :BH

Vent over, but I'm STILL Ticket! :rant

I bought an Otter shell case for my iPhone to prevent that from happening.

I had one for my Blackberry and it felt like a brick on my belt. I guess I'll have to break down and get one for the new phone.

Ouch!! Durn, I know that's infuriating!! Maybe the junk mailer will replace it for you??? Yea, right. LOL

does anyone know if they make one for a motorola blur? cause I need one to!

A case is the first thin I buy, and use, with any of them fancy hand-held gadgets. Phone, PDA, camera, etc.

FWIW, if you are somewhat handy and brave of heart - you can probably replace the screen.

You're right. I had intended on buying one after the one I had with the BB, but just put it off. I came in and showed it to a guy at work. He just looked at me and pulled out the Verizon IPhone he's had for a week and it was broken worse than mine. Now we've got double head bangings going on here at work :BH :BH

I am a meany. When I bought my son's it came in before the otterbox. I allowed him to use it, sitting on the couch! He could not move it from there until the otterbox came. I know his would look like yours does now.

Is there somewhere you can take it to fix it?

I could probably send it back to Motorola. May be a little less than buying a new phone...or not :huh

It seems like the more advanced the phones get, the easier they are to break. I remember the old thick Nokia phones from about 10 years ago. I had one for about 5 years, and never had any trouble with it.

Well HOWDY MikeW. I go out on the road for a couple of hours and THAT's when you show up :Stick

Good to see you, Dude. How's Josh and High & Mighty doing? :laugh

I heard the computer guy in the shopping center near Darby's Crossing can put in a new screen. It might be worth checking into.

Thanks, but if I had known how much I would like this HTC Thunderbolt, I would have thrown my old one on the street weeks ago. :laugh

Looks like the screens are only about $20. I've actually kinda been hoping mine would break so I could try out repairing one :)
I did the one on my Dell Axim. Weren't too bad, especially wearing my close-up spectacles!!!
