Climate Doomsday: Gulf Stream on the Verge of Collapse, Triggering a New Ice Age, Experts Warn

Leading climate scientists have issued a dire warning about the potential collapse of the Gulf Stream, a crucial part of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) that regulates global climate. According to 44 top climate experts, the collapse could bring devastating and irreversible effects, plunging the UK into a “new Ice Age” with temperatures dropping by as much as 15°C (27°F) in winter.

The scientists warn that the AMOC’s failure, which could occur as early as 2025, would result in catastrophic climate shifts, including the freezing of Europe, severe droughts, and sea-level rise along the U.S. East Coast. While the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) states that the AMOC is unlikely to collapse before 2100, these experts argue the threat has been drastically underestimated and urgent action is needed to prevent a global climate disaster.

This grim scenario echoes the plot of the 2004 disaster film The Day After Tomorrow, but scientists say the threat is now all too real. As the global temperature rises, melting ice is disrupting the deep-water formation that powers the Gulf Stream, leading to the possibility of a breakdown in the vital current that helps regulate weather patterns across the globe.

In addition to the freezing of Europe, a collapse could shift the tropical rainfall belt, leading to widespread droughts, famine, and a potential refugee crisis. Experts are calling on global leaders to take immediate action to mitigate the effects and avert a potential climate catastrophe that could last for centuries.

I remember in the 70s they said we were under global freezing and that the temperatures would continue to decline each year.

This sounds like a great reset to me, let her rip!!!

This sounds like a great reset to me, let her rip!!!

I don't think you should say "let her rip" around here.

PS: Leslie Nielsen put it on his headstone.

This what it’s about:

Let’s throw billions of dollars at it then conveniently lose track of a good portion of it.
I keep wondering when the rest of the world/people will finally figure out that "climate change" is no more than a political power and wealth transfer scheme by the Elites.

The forces of nature (earthquakes, floods, tsunami's, hurricane, volcanos) are far more powerful than most humans want to admit.

When Atlanta went through the floods of 2009, it was an up close look at how even FEMA and Red Cross are so corrupt.

We watched friends who lost everything be failed by any government assistance. Red Cross packed up and went to Cobb county with no assistance to Paulding.

It was the churches (through citizens of our county) and Samaritans Purse who helped the people who we knew in Paulding County who needed help.

Samaritans Purse helped the churches by organizing the volunteers, bringing in the supplies and tools in their large semi trucks. Samaritans Purse coordinated the needs of the flood victims, using the volunteers to help with needs in the initial days with cleaning supplies, prayer and ministry. That moved into helping to clean out all the personal possessions to dry out or throw out, gut the houses down to the studs, to dry out, do mold remediation, put back the electric, drywall, paint and flooring, so they could get moved back into the home.

All this waste of money/wealth for Climate Change is the finding needed to help communities who are impacted by the natural disasters on earth which is constant ... and not anything man can stop or delay.

Yep. Every time someone says to me that the coasts are going to be flooded due to climate change and we have to stop it I say:

"No, it's going back to normal when the coastline was at the fall line in Macon. The earth is just restoring to normal balance and we shouldn't try to stop it. "

Their little brains explode at that point.

Yes, I usually follow that up with the fun fact that the Georgia State Fossil is the shark tooth because they are so commonly found in Georgia ... because Georgia was under water.

Georgia State Fossil: Cretaceous - Miocene, Shark Tooth

(undetermined)

Adopted in 1976.

Georgia's official state fossil is the Cretaceous - Miocene, Shark Tooth. The Cretaceous - Miocene, Shark Tooth was adopted in 1976. Sharks have skeletons composed of cartilage rather than bone, so usually the only fossilized remains they leave are their teeth. These teeth are produced and continually shed in a conveyor-belt fashion, and an individual shark may produce 10,000 teeth during its lifetime. Many types of sharks lived in prehistoric Georgia, ranging from small Cretaceous forms to large, fierce Miocene species. Sharks as a group appeared during the Ordovician, but the earliest teeth found in Georgia date from the Late Cretaceous, about 65 million years ago

Probably one of the most sought-after fossils by amateur collectors, the shark tooth is a relatively common fossil in the Georgia coastal plain. In fossil form, the shark tooth can be traced back 375,000,000 years. Fossilized shark teeth are found in a range of colors--from the more common blacks and grays to whites, browns, blues and reddish browns.
