Buoyed by blacks and independent voters, as well as urban dwellers shocked by the Black Lives Matter protest violence raging in some cities, President Trump’s approval rating has hit a new high, according to a survey heavy with minority voters.

"Pollsters have been somewhat at a loss to explain the rise of Trump’s approval ratings, considering that there has been little positive news to help his standings other than the peace deal he helped negotiate between Israel and the United Arab Emirates."

Many more people are watching this convention than the one the Dems had last week. They are hearing the accomplishments Trump has achieved during his first term. They are seeing the many different people of color speak in support of Trump at the convention; coming to the realization that he's not a racist. This is important because it will make a good percentage come to the realization that if the Democrats have lied to them about that; what else are they lying about?
 
I think they see tacit approval of Portland and Seattle. They see the rioters are largely white leftist anarchists. They see police disappearing from their democratically controlled cities and crime skyrocketing. They are also the ones who can't work at home and are still out of work. Their children are not being educated because they don't have reliable Internet or laptops and they have no other option. Everything that has happened this year has affected them the most, and except for lip service, the Democrats have done nothing. They see this, at least they should.

Those numbers are amazing, perhaps too amazing. He is also, according to Zogby, a big winner with the college educated, a huge reversal from all other polls that break out that demographic. I'm curious to see the other post convention polls.

Yeah, I admit these numbers are a bit hard to swallow. But I do think it likely that Trump is trending in that direction.

The Democratic convention was a cluster. I would be amazed if Trump didn't pick up some voters across the board. If he picks up a legit 3 percent with blacks and 5 percent or more elsewhere, which is entirely possible, we have a race.
