True story: my grandfather used to bred top blood line pointers. On one quail hunt he took one of the young pups he was training with us. The dog was doing a good job for awhile and followed the other adult dog as they tracked the birds. As we topped a hill we saw both dogs pointing. As we approached the young pup broke position and flushed the birds before we were ready to take our shot. Next thing we heard was a shot and then saw the pup fall over. My grandfather acted as if nothing had happened and just said he wasn’t feeding a dog that flushed birds. My brother and I were both speechless, we were probably 10 and 12 at the time. Years later we asked him about it, he explained he was raising champions, not yard dogs. That his clients wouldn’t purchase a dog that flushed birds. Sucked to be that dog on that day.

In 1978, a friend of mine, Bob, paid $400 for a female German shorthair pup, which is just over $1900 today. I had an Irish Setter, and another friend, Jim, had a Golden Retriever. The three of us went pheasant hunting. Jim's dog pointed, and then Jim gave the command to flush. When Jim shot the bird, Bob's dog hauled butt out of there. Bob tried to take the dog back, but the breeder wouldn't take it. When Bob was buying the dog, the breeder told him the dog would hunt. He was stuck with the dog.

The story gets worse. Bob brought the dog with him the next time we went hunting. He had a coil of rope - 50' of it. He tied one end around his waist and the other end to the dog's collar. He was bound and determined to change the dog from being gun-shy. The dog hauled butt at the first gunshot. The dog pulled Bob to the ground, which caused us to laugh. That's when Bob realized that the dog wouldn't hunt. That did something to the dog mentally. They woke up in the morning to find the dog had chewed the stuffing out of the sofa and chair. His wife told him to get rid of the dog. He ended up having to give it away. The only thing that dog flushed was Bob's money down the drain.

Last week, she took 21.7% of the vote in the Indiana Republican primary and she was no longer a candidate. Makes you wonder how much many more votes she could have received if she had been campaigning there. The Trump campaign is probably thought the same thing.

Most of the polls show the race right now between Biden and Trump within the margin of error, meaning it's an darn close race. Trump is most likely considering her because she obviously can still draw votes. Trump has called her a bunch of nasty names while she was a candidate. He went as far as saying he appointed her ambassador to the UN because she was a lousy governor. Doing so took her out of office so the Lt. Gov. could be governor and save the state. Trump went as far as insinuating that because Haley's husband was not on the campaign trail with her, that he left her because he knew. Her husband was deployed to Africa for a year with the National Guard. But what was it her husband was supposed to have known that would cause Major Haley to leave his wife? There was a rumor that she had affairs with two different men while her husband was deployed. I wonder who started the rumor?

It's true about politics making strange bed fellows.

I wonder how many Trump supporters who said they would never vote for Trump, will vote for Trump if she is her running mate? They would be voting for her as well. She would be only a breath away from being president if they won.
 
I suppose this is possible, but my gut tells me this is just another fabricated article. The media is making up a lot of stories lately, seems there's not enough juicy stuff for them to report on.
