Tips, please!

I'm Floored

Lover of BS!
So, I finally joined the ranks and got an.....

iPhone!

I'm always behind the times. I had a blackberry years ago. When we changed carriers, I got a different smartphone, but as soon as I could renew, I went back to blackberry. ('Cause it's what I know!) I kept that one for 4 years. I was so afraid to switch, because I don't learn new things very easily these days, and I'm already too busy.

Anyway, I LOVE IT!!! But I know there are things I need to know. What are your best tips to the iPhone? What apps are a must-have? How can I make my experience even better?

TIA

First off...set up your iCloud and back up all your contacts and stuff. You can even locate your phone with it.

That's scary Big Brother stuff! (And I don't know how to do it.)

Let one of the kids do it, they know how. :))

My favorite tips:

1. The easy delete button in email - from the email list, just swipe across the message and the delete button appears, you don't have to open the message and click on the trashcan.

2. The close apps trick - push your home button twice, you will see your open apps at the bottom. Now, put your finger on the first one and you will see a minus button appear. You can then touch each app to close it. It saves on your battery life.

3. Turn off the autocorrect feature - it's the debil!
