This little snot needs to be taken down a notch

While I agree it's time for a regime change I honestly don't believe it can (or will) happen without an extremely high casualties count as well as mass destruction to Seoul and other surrounding cities. I don't think the general public understands just how heavily armed both sides are, the number of rockets and missiles are staggering. We just don't have enough missile defense systems there to ensure protection.

North Korea has a lot of Scud and modified Scud missiles that can reach all of South Korea and some of Japan. Their current stock of long range delivery vehicles is limited and are believed to be low tech and relatively slow. What you would see if war were to break our would be very similar to what we saw early in the Iraq war. There would be a large number of relatively small charges fired by the north, meaning that some would get through on the strength of sheer volume. There would also be a small number of larger vehicles launched, most or all of which would be shot down before reaching their target. South Korea is being equipped with our latest Patriot systems which are supposed to be quicker to respond and more accurate than those we have seen in action in the past. Lets hope they are up to the task if need be.

There has been some hints dropped that we might have a working laser missile defense weapon now.

We couldn't intercept the number of launches, Seoul would be hit and hit very hard. Our response would be quick and devastating but severe damage would already be done. The little turd will push us to the limit until we cave on negotiations then he'll go away for a while. But the alternative is far worse.
