temporary partial facial paralysis

Re: partial facial paralysis

So sorry. That happens quite often to one of my sons friends. It still freaks her out every time. :(
:pray

Re: partial facial paralysis

NG, you're a rock star for offering. It's easing now. Yesterday was the worst. It was readily visible to everyone. Pretty much only I can tell that there is any left this evening.

Re: partial facial paralysis

I should have put "temporary" in the title. I figured the reference to short lived in the post was good enough. Sorry.

It was bad yesterday. Much improved today and now pretty much only I can tell there is any left.

Is this a previously known phenomenon with you?: Is it like a termporary case of Bell's Palsy? I've never heard of that being temporary, but that doesn't mean anything. GAH!!!

This was a new one for me. Not an experience that I was happy to have. LOL

Belly's Palsy can very often be temporary ... just not generally a quick resolving as whatever happened with me. I already had an appointment to see my neuro this week. We'll see what she says about this one. :))

I had it years ago.
2 weeks of prednisone and it cleared up.
Doc said it may or may not ever happen again.
So far so good.

My mother had/has it. Pretty scary stuff. The effects still linger a bit and it has been years.

Bells Palsy was the first thing I thought of, too. But it usually takes months (or more) to heal. Please keep us updated and let us know if we can help. NG may be the closest, but we'll all help in any way! :hug
