Sundays Are the Worst

I used to wait tables. Never had a problem with tables of women. But for some reason the after church crowd was the worst. Fortunately I was good enough (or liked enough lol) that I ended up not having to work Sundays most of the time.
 
I agree with stradial. Yes, I have been a server. Both church-goers and women are notoriously bad tippers.

For that reason, I am always generous - because I've been in their shoes. And I generally tip well even if the service is bad, but I will comment to either the server or the manager. (I figure if they're that bad, they will probably reeeaaaalllllyyyy need a good tip!) ;)

Edited to add: the women seem to be doubly bad, because not only are they "chintzy" with the tip, but they are also extremely high maintenance. Yep, I said it!

You never served us! It is the opposite with Marc and I. I am the generous tipper (no matter who I'm with), and he'll only leave a dollar. :BH I've worked with him over the last 7 yrs and he is slightly better than he used to be. I told him he deserves some "spitters"! :))
 
I also think there might be sometime to it from the servers side. They may not be giving good service in return knowing that "sunday" people aren't good tippers. It's all about attitude.
