Stuffed green peppers for supper tonight: green peppers and onions from my garden. Fire-roasted tomatoes, hamburger, and garlic not from the garden.

I had the same problem, but I found out that the real mexican stuffed pepper is not a green bell pepper, it is another kind of pepper.
WOW! Not only does it not give me the heartburn, but it tastes great.

Maybe one the people who know about cooking can tell us what kind of pepper.

I like stuffed green peppers. I haven't had them in awhile.

No joking around, I've had them stuffed with squirrel meat. Cooked it in the crock pot and they came out very good. Seriously. (sorry Waski)
