Some Fireworks

Some of my neighbors are letting off fireworks. I'm not a fan (it's town, it's late, and conditions are super dry). But, since it's hot, the fireworks are noisy, and I can't sleep, I figured I'd play with my camera.

And, since I was out there, here is a 5-minute exposure on my house. I want to try this shot again in the winter with lots of snow!

As it turns out, fireworks were held at the dam tonight. I didn't know that, so I missed them. I guess I'll have to wait for next year to get fireworks pictures. Since I missed out, here is an awesome picture by Trey Ratcliffe, one of my favorite photographers.

Love the ones on the lake. Dunno if it's the reflections or what, but fireworks over water are so much more dramatic.

I love fireworks. :happysigh: Didn't see any last night due to obnoxious relatives being camped out here (not my idea, but I didn't want to cause a kerfuffle), but I will on vacation in a few weeks. Beautiful, Waski...beautiful.
