Slew Of Firings At RNC As New Leadership Replaces Former Employees

For better or worse, the upcoming election is essentially all Trump's responsibility now that his people are running the RNC.

I'm sure this will result in a huge red wave of conservative Republicans winning elections all across the country.

You got that right.

Well, it just depends on the voters.

If good people turn out in numbers to reject Biden and his policies, then yes, we could have a red wave.

Saying it just depends on the voters is too simplistic. Voters have to have good candidates to vote for and those candidates have to have the resources to make their case.

Regardless, there will be a stark difference between the two viable candidates for president. If the voters choose to stay home or vote for someone who cannot win; then it's on them.

Both sides have their excuse loaded and ready. For the anti-Trumpers, if Trump loses or the Reps get clobbered it's because everyone rejects him. For the Trumpsters, it will be because of voter fraud, mail-in ballots, absentee ballots, and votes by the deceases.

Voting for POTUS is important but voting to retain the House and maybe gain the Senate is just as important, maybe even more so. The RNC doesn't exist to simply help the presidential candidates...they should be helping all Republicans beat Democrats.

I agree, but I suspect it will be better than it has been. Laura Trump is a sharp gal and she's just co-chair. I don;'t know that much about the other co-chair.

There seems to be quite a different attitude out there. Most of the GOP is getting behind Trump and uniting the party.

Now it's up to the voters to unit behind the guy carrying the ball, even if he's not their first choice.

You're correct. It doesn't matter what Republican is in the White House if the Democrats have the majority in both chambers of Congress. The president will not get anything of importance accomplished.

True for the bolded part, but at least in that scenario, he could veto stuff coming from Congress.

Here we go...again. There is absolutely zero doubt now of who controls the RNC, anyone who argues that it isn't Trump just isn't living in reality. Whether or not the "People" will accept it has yet to be seen but it will become clear in November. We get what we get, all we can do it go out and caste our one vote while encouraging others to do the same. Assuming voting is fair and legit then we will soon find out the direction our country is heading. One thing is certain, taxes and the national debt will rise regardless of who wins.

The RNC chair, Michael Whatley, has been the chair of the North Carolina Republican Party for the past five years. He was also closely involved in Trump's efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. In a nutshell, Trump has ensured that the RNC leadership is in lockstep with him. They are purging the RNC and replacing them with diehard Trump supporters.

Although nobody is being murdered in this purge of the RNC, it is similar to the reasons for another party purge in 1934.

Yup

The People have spoken/are speaking...Trump will be the nominee.

The grump butts can either join the team or sit on the sidelines. But if they sit on the sidelines and things don't go well, they shouldn't gripe, because they didn't help.

The People have chosen/are choosing Trump. So again, it's on the voters.

Trump is running for one position. Having a Republican in the White House is important and maybe he'll win. But he shouldn't be the sole focus of anyone, especially the RNC. Everyone in the country could vote for Trump and it wouldn't help much if other Republicans didn't win Senate and House races.

For POTUS, yes, but the House and Senate are just as important.

That's like calling them second-class citizens because they didn't vote for your guy. That statement gives the impression that you feel you are better than those who didn't vote for your guy. They have every right to gripe. The First Amendment gives them that right, and those who served in the Armed Forces did so to preserve that right.
