Shooting at Fedex in Kennesaw this morning

Thank you Lisa! Chris had come out of surgery, and was in ICU, when he started bleeding internally again. He's now back in surgery. I adore this young man, and my heart is breaking for him & his wife. They've only been married about a year and a half.

Chris was not raised in church, met one of our band members (one of my best friend's husband) and was led to Christ. After high school, Chris joined the military, came home and began going to our church again, then to West Ridge Church. I think he met his wife at West Ridge. Anyway, they've been very active members in the choir & praise team, and our church, since they've been there.

Please lift them up in prayer. Thank you all so much!

A Facebook friend's son (and I think she's a member here, just don't remember her name here) was standing next to the security guard that was shot, and rode with him to the hospital.

Prayers for all. That's crazy.

Son has a friend who works there, fortunately it was his day off. Listening to it on the news now, two are in critical condition at Kennestone. Prayers for all involved and their families, including that of the shooter.

Unbelievable! I truly believe this has become a demented Fad in this country. A desperate shot (no pun intended) at 5 minutes of fame, whether dead or alive. Most times addiction of some sort contributed to the individual's delusions.

Chris was the first one shot, and is one of the critically wounded. The shooter is reported to have gone in dressed like Rambo, shot Chris in the gut, and went on his way.

My flesh has some choice words for/about the shooter, but my spirit reminds me to hold my tongue. It's a constant battle.

If he was the security guard, then my friend's son rode to the hospital with him. :hug

He is. I understand your friend's son insisted on going with him. I've no doubt he was an amazing support for Chris, and can't imagine how he must've felt witnessing that. Praying for him because he's a victim too. :hug

Debra ... TwinSis.

Who is Debra?

The friend and (maybe) member here that Madea is referring to .. her son was working security at Fed Ex this morning and was just minutes from being the one shot, apparently. He went in the ambulance with the security guard that was shot.

OH! Now that make sense! :thumbsup

His uncle is a retired Cobb County officer, pretty sure he will reach out to him. His uncle is a good man!

Just wanted to post an update on Chris. My best friend went to see him last night. He's got a long road ahead of him. He's still critical, of course. They've left him open so they can stop bleeding/access organs as needed. He's going to require multiple surgeries.

I didn't want to put this on FB, but I wanted to share here (with my friends) so that y'all would know his prayer needs. His wife, Jamie, is on rotation with the choir/praise team at West Ridge Church, so some of y'all may know them and not realize it.

Chris is a bold young man, and I know in my heart that God is going to use this situation. This will be used to glorify God, as I know Chris will boldly proclaim God's mercy & grace in his life.

Please continue to pray for him, and his wife.

This is not unto death!

Marc and I are choosing to wait a few days before we go to the hospital, as we know many are at their side right now and he's still in ICU.
