Shelf Stable Products

I have always gotten the willies from things like, canned milk and liquid creamer than doesn't need to be refridgerated.

How is this possible? Is it REALLY possible? Or did we just remove the dairy and add water?
I'm super busy at the office today, so I thought I'd get my posting out of the way early!

I'm not sure but I think stocking up on this stuff might be a good idea, especially for the coming storm sometime in November.

There are several processes used. Vacuum packaging is one, heat treatment is another (and various processes of the latter). They do work, but can also change the flavor of the product.

MRE's are a good way to store shelf stable food at a good price. 8)
