Well we went to the store today and bought a fake Christmas tree for the cabin. I have never had a fake tree in my life, even when I lived in a dorm room, my room mate would have a shrub of some sort to put gum and popcorn on. That was my suggestion, but She Who Tolerates Me wanted a "pencil tree" which apparently is as rare in the wild as a Panda in Panama. I do get my real tree at home, however, for my crazy decorate the woods where nobody can see indoor and outdoor lighting extravaganza.

Oh, and I just realized that from here on out I will be decorating two houses. I hadn't counted on that.

I will come look if you do an extravaganza!!! :))

We'll go together! I do some outdoor decorating, too, and have a fake tree, but only because my mother wants one. I LOVE real trees.

Hey, I wanna join in on seeing ltd's extravaganza!! TWO trees - twice as many presents!!!

When we lived in a neighborhood, we would just stick some candles in the windows and call it a day. Now that you can't see the house from the street, we put lights in the house and garage and decorate everything that doesn't move. I think maybe a dozen people a year actually see it. I'm really hoping that I don't have to do that un in the Mountains too, but It's not looking too promising. She has already asked me to gather up all of the "old" lights to take up there. Yikes.

We usually start the weekend after Thanksgiving, but I'm slow. It should be done in a week or tso after that if the weather is good. homey don't play in the cold and rain.

Actually, mine was quite literally the guest house for the gray one when they were first built. It used to be one big property that was the entire hilltop. It's small but it's fine for the two of us. The small living room is why she needs a pencil tree, or so I'm told.

To each their own, but if my neighbor had that, it would be off by 10 PM, or it would be gone by 11 PM.

Grinch!!! LOL. I know the people that do those big displays around here do shut them down around 10 or 11. I think most people are fairly considerate when it comes to this type of thing.
