I totally disagree with the renaming despite Bragg being a coward and a terrible leader. Now Benning and John Bell Hood are a different story. Hood's life is a tragic story of a very good soldier. These bases were named at the bequest of landowners in the areas they were built as part of a handshake deal that gave the government the land or allowed the purchase of the land in the south. In other words this is another case of the Feds lying to the states and breaking an agreement with indigenous people (see Native American Tribes). As for Trump he has no friends in congress and never did.
