Rules are for the little people....not Speaker Pelosi

She wants the salon owner to apologize for "setting her up." She's the one who called the salon to make the appointment. She's a resident of CA where I'm sure they've been putting out PSAs for quite sometime on what the rules for the shutdown are. She believes she's part of the elite and doesn't have to abide by the rules. When she's called out for it; she chooses to blame others. Typical Democrat attitude and reaction.

Leftist Hubris on full display.

Now sit back and watch as NPR, CNN and her other comrades in the media give her a pass.

Our poor salons in San Diego have had to cut people's hair outside without wash basins, or other tools they are used to ...if they wanted to have any business. The stylists say they have extensive training in sanitation and are licensed by the state, unlike other businesses deemed essential by King Newsom ... who is Pelosi's Nephew. So ironic that as the salon owner said in your link, "...it's the fact that she actually came in, didn't have a mask on, and I just thought about my staff and people not being able to work and make money and provide for their families, and if she is in there comfortably without a mask and feeling safe, then why are we shut down? Why am I not able to have clients come in?"

...an association of salons and barber shops said it would sue to try to force Newsom to let them reopen sooner, arguing they already undergo extensive training on sanitation and are licensed by the state.

“I have dealt at a very close proximity with cashiers, with Walmart associates, with Costco and Sam’s Club associates, with a Home Depot guy who helped me cut some wood. None of them had gloves; only some of them had masks,” said Fred Jones, public policy director and legal counsel for the Professional Beauty Federation of California.

“There’s not going to be a salon in California, when we reopen, that doesn’t have both. We are trained in this,” he said.

Current guidelines from the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology recommend that nail salon workers wear dust masks and gloves to protect them from toxic chemicals but do not require them for all services.

Hair Salon Owner, Tawnya Proctor, joined Good Morning San Diego to discuss the hair salon industry amid Covid-19 in San Diego.

The tension comes as California moves into a new phase in its battle against the coronavirus and has allowed more businesses to reopen for delivery and curbside pick-up. Neither is possible for the more than 50,000 nail and hair salons in the state or other businesses that are expected to be given later reopening dates, such as gyms.

The salons and barbershops in CA should sue the state. If stores can be open; then why not all businesses?

Of course the guy who did Pelosi's hair is going to defend her. She probably tips well and he wants to pay his bills and eat.
