Sensitivity is wicked low.... you're going to need some power to push that to where it needs to go.New speaker from Dayton Audio. Looks impressive, but is pricey.
That's one of the ways they get that kind of bottom end from a small speaker/small box; they attenuate the mids and highs. And yep, it hurts efficiency and ultimately maximum output levels.Sensitivity is wicked low.... you're going to need some power to push that to where it needs to go.
( nice bottom end tho'.)

Personally, I would give it some of it's efficiency back and run a sub. But, I run subs with almost everything. Me likey da boom boom.
I would love to see a solid review of them.Maybe Amir can get Parts Express to send him a pair to test?
These lool like they could have potential. Seems like Parts Express' most elaborate effort to date in affordable speakers...www.audiosciencereview.com
So, I bought a pair of these to go outside the boat door in the basement.Klipsch AW-650 outdoor speakers. High-end stuff for outdoor speakers, best I've ever heard. I've had a pair in the pool area for 6 years or so now and they still play like new.
These are being replaced by a new model, on sale for $290 and the new models are about $600. They won't be around for long.
Years ago, the kids threw too much gas at them when they were in the pool area, and fried the woofers.
Code word for throwing too much power at them.Gas?
