Okay, time to stop the name calling....

I'm Floored

Lover of BS!
Friends, here on the Hwy, we try to keep our interactions civil. We don't want it to become a place where we're afraid to venture out for fear of a "drive-by". (Pun intended.) :D

I tend to have a thick skin (look at who I live with!) so sometimes I don't see the little digs, or I just take them in a good humored way (even if not intended that way.) We have had some complaints, and while we can't make everyone happy, we can all work together to make this a FUN place for all our drivers.

With that said, no one's allowed to call any one else any names.....EXCEPT ME! Come on, let me have it!

I'll even give you some ammunition. I've always been extremely pale. My (main) nickname in high school was "Whitey". (I say "main" nickname, that's because there were many, many others. My friends were very creative!)

I was a cheerleader, and my friends often made up words about me to the beat of our other cheers. For example, we were Bulldogs. We did the Georgia chant, "Gooooo, mighty Bulldogs!" They said, "Glllllooooowwww, Whitey :insertlastnamehere:!"

I also HATE cheese. :sick

I have always been fearful of the water. In fact, I just learned to dive a couple of weeks ago. No joke. Yep, I'm 42 years old!

I'm also an overprotective "helicopter" Mom, and I wear it with pride.

I'm a girly-girl, and I don't like to do anything that gets me dirty or messes up my nails! :-*

I am high maintenance (just ask my husband.) But....most of the time, I do all the maintenance myself, so that I don't put anyone out. :p

Anyway, give me your best shot. Whenever you want to call anyone on this board a name or make fun or post a dig about them, back out of the thread, and post something about ME here instead!

Happy Cruisin'!

Is it OK if I call you IF??? :runaway

Seiously, if a poster gets under your skin, please don't call them names. It does nothing to add to the discussion. Deliberately antagonizing them just makes you look small.

Nope, I'm behaving myself.... No name calling here.... I'm going to do my best to just walk away when people do things that might push me over the edge.... Pray for me, I'm gonna need it. :pray

Besides, NO ONE is whiter than me.... It just isn't possible - even my "tan" is white.

I'm actually not as pale as I used to be. Years outside at the ballpark with my boys has helped. At my 20 year reunion, one of my friends actually said, "Lawd, I'm paler than Whitey!" :laugh

Dear Lord...Please keep your arm around LisaC's shoulder and your hand over her mouth and around her hands. Amen :pray

I am so lost.
From my standpoint, about a week or so ago, I went off on someone in post and called them name that I shouldn't have called him. I was angry, but I was wrong. I apologize for my behavior. I like this place so I'm pledging to play nice.

P.S. I am hereby declaring that I am not waiving my right to make fun of any one on this board, specifically Guard Dad. Any man that admits to wearing a thong, gets exactly what he deserves... ;D

You're married to a dork.

:))

But I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE him! :hug

This very nice woman married one of my male BFF's (I was in the wedding this past January) and, quite frankly, he's a nerd/dork, etc. She says I know he's a dork, but he's MY dork! :laugh At least she knows what she got herself in to! :)) Dorks need love too!
