The jury found Casey Anthony to be not guilty of killing her daughter. Unbelievable.

her and OJ should go out partying tonight.

I am in shock as well... I hope the jury can sleep well at night

So let me get this straight. Flipping off a prosecutor in the middle of a trial is a crime but child murder is not. Interesting.

The trial for the murder of Jon-Benet Ramsey was broadcast on TV as was the OJ trial and Casey Anthony's trial. What do they all have in common? Not guilty verdicts. I think what happens is, the prosecutors play more to the TV audience than they do the members of the jury. In doing so, they're not really thinking about how to present their case to the jury, but to appear more like Perry Mason. Instead, they end up being Hamilton Burger, the DA who always lost to Mason.

Can't add nothin' to that, precious. You said it all.

GEEZ FRICKIN' LOUISE.

I'm stunned. I was hoping the jury would give an interview to explain how they came up with that verdict.

I agree. I haven't been following this case closely (because it's so disturbing), but I get a lot of information just by osmosis. Was the prosecution really that bad?

I'm still shocked too. I really thought there'd be at least one "guilty" on the charges of murder. Instead, she's only getting charged with giving false info to the police? Can't wait to see what the sentencing for that will be. :huh

Some friends of mine who watched it, said the DA did a poor job establishing motive and being able to prove she actually killed her daughter.

She was a party animal, partying all the time. I don't think she intentionally murdered her child. I like the theory she was giving her daughter Xanax to knock her out so she could go party without hiring a babysitter, and thus her statement that "Zanny the nanny" took her child. Because experts testified traces of chloroform were discovered in the trunk of her car, she accidentally killed her daughter using too much of it to put her to sleep so she could go party at the nightclubs. It's awful odd that witnesses place her partying down at the nightclubs every night after she reported her daughter missing; something not natural to do at all.

Theories however, are only conjecture which cannot be admitted as evidence in court.

I have to agree with those friends. Passion aside, being a mom, aside, just looking at the facts presented I could list 10 things that would provide doubt. You only need one. I believe the system worked as it was put into place to.

My facebook feed is blowing up with such mean, horrible, frankly frightening comments by my friends. I am more shocked by their pure hatred of the jurors and Casey Anthony. That is not healthy to hold that much hatred for someone you do not know. (even if you think you do)

Probably better for the State of FL in the long run because all they have to do is put her into the general population and let nature take it's course. She hopefully won't last two months in jail.

?? She was only convicted on misdemeanor charges and has already served 3 years. I believe she will walk out Thursday.

She'll be sentenced for the lesser crimes she was convicted for i.e. lying to the police, but she will get credit for time served and be released. She will make money off this selling her story.

if she goes to jail for "lesser crimes' she will not come out. I have a feelin the women at the correctional facility will give her a welcome she will never forget

I can not see her going back to jail after serving so much time already, but if she did it would be for a very short time period and they would not have someone that just came out of that media circus with the general population.

I did not follow the story the last couple of years, so I really have no comment. Although reading here and other sites, and listening to talk shows and the news I am getting the feeling a majority is at such a disgrace with the verdict the jury handed over. From what I am hearing the DA did not prove her guilt, BUT on the other hand there was no innocence proven. Speculation from the media she will most likey walk free Thursday with time being served

Makes me ill too, but I can see where a jury having no forensic evidence could feel some doubt with no solid proof. However, she does have a previous offense when she plead guilty to fraud when she took a friends checkbook and went shopping, so maybe this being a second offense, she will get some probation. Yeah, I know, not much relief with that. She will be a rich *itch -- will make bundles off her books, which we all know will be lies -- but people are feeding off her lies. She will LOVE all the attention she gets when she hits the streets! :BH :rant

Well that sux. Either way, I wouldn't underwrite her life insurance policy right now.

I think it's a shame...a real shame...because although they had no "smoking gun" to convict her with, I believe in my heart she was to some degree guilty. Even though she will probably walk on Thursday, she will never be truly free.
