My First Lobster...

So the neighbor came over this morning with two large lobsters to thank my husband for fixing his AC yesterday,
they are crawling around in the crisper right now until I plan a proper demise. Any recipe advice for a first timer ? ? ?

Water.

Bring to a boil. Maybe a dash of salt.

Toss 'em in. Wait until they turn red (won't take more than a few minutes).

Take them out. Server with melted butter or cocktail sauce.

Easiest thing to cook ever.. Boil water... I throw some old bay seasoning in there and eat with melted butter

Make sure the baby isn't around when you cook them... they do "scream"

Are they Maine lobsters or Rock lobster? Maine lobsters have claws, others do not. My husband was born and raised in Maine. Every year, we make at least 30 lobstahs. All you do is fill the bottom of a large lobster pot (with a steamer insert at the bottom) with water and a can of Heinekin beer and some Old Bay. Drop in the Lobstahs. The sound of air escaping from their bodies will sound like a scream but they do not have vocal cords and they no brain.

After 16 minutes and turning a beautiful red, orange, they are done.

Oh, and I don't care what my husband tells me...the "tomalley" is DISGUSTING.

I can't do lobsters on account of they're filter feeders, and I can't bear the thought of dumping something living into a boiling pot of water. I know that's goofy, but it is what it is. And I ain't even gonna ask what "tomalley" is. :sick

OH EM GEE!!! I just wiki'd "tomalley"...I WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!!! That is beyond disgusting!!! And mixing it with roe for pate? GAG A MAGGOT!!!!!!! (FTR, I don't like caviar, either.)
