gas has reached $4.79 a gal in L.A. :cantbelievemyeyes

Supposedly rose 20 cents/gal overnight, approaching $6/gal in some parts of CA, and some stations are temporarily closing due to lack of supply. Have to wait until Oct 31 or pass a special approval to switch to their winter blend of which they have plenty. Will be interesting to see how long it takes the west coast tree huggers to start complaining about being uncomfortable.

One of our teachers has a son living out there. Apparently some stations have simply shut down (for a day or a longer period of time she wasn't clear).

Let up fill up with seaweed and algae or mount a windmill on the hood.

I wondered if it would have the state rethinking a vote for Zero.

This ought to really kill the economy - one that is in retrograde due to years of liberal BS.

CA watched this happen with Enron.

I will admit FIL and MIL in CA could not see there had to be corruption ... she was not using the dishwasher or washing machine if she could help it...reading by one French Fry bulb that ,with her cataracts, she could not see. I kept telling her somewhere something is corrupt – the rolling brownouts made no sense. That happens in third world countries… but yeah California deserves some of the inconvenience. :whistle

The only advantage Illinois has is that it isn't as mindlessly anti-buisness and pro-green as california.
We aren't far behind, but at least we will be able to heat our homes for a little while longer.

Well folks in California don't have anything to worry about now. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has empaneled a commission to study if there is a shortage of gasoline, why there is a shortage if there is one, and if releasing the suppliers to start using the billions of available gallons of less "clean" winter formula gasoline will alleviate the problem. The regularly scheduled switch over to Winter gas is October 31. Do I hear any bets on whether or not the board determines a finding before that day? Bureaucracy. This is the type of organization we need in charge of our healthcare for sure.

Well dorkey Jerry Saved them....

Govenor steps in to reduce CA gas prices

Brown didn't want to wait for any more price increases or supply issues because it could cause "unacceptable price impacts for consumers and small businesses, significant economic disruption, and serious harm to public safety and welfare."

You know there is a little voice in my head that says this might have impacted voting for 0bama .... :whistle

I may be wrong, the green idiots may never see the stacking affect of all the bad anti-consumer policies (from decades of CA Democrats, and 4 years of 0bama) ... however, if gas was almost $6.00 for a month it would turn many Californians against the current Democratic "leaders". Be it 0bama or Brown?
