Do you menu plan? Have an online planner?

I found this today. http://saymmm.com/homepage.php

I have quite a few others that I tinker with, but none that have really worked for me. So, I'm still trying it out. This one is free, but has other features if you go to a paid subscription. I really don't intend to pay for this. I'm not that faithful at using something like that.

:eatdrink Is this guy eating a burger? ::)

Madea- EVERY time I plan a week of dinners, a wrench gets thrown into the plans. So, now I pretty much wing it. When I grocery shop I buy what I will need for 7 or so meals, but don't plan them out by day.

For the most part I plan my meals for the week to make a list before I go to the grocery store. I discovered when I do this, I spend a lot less.

That is true, unless you happen to bring along children that sneak things into your cart! :)) Wait....my husband does that! :laugh

I plan some, here is this week's plan: "eat out on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and oh crap, what am I going to cook the other 3 days!"

See that happens to me. That's why I need flexibility. I do sit down with the sales paper and see what's on sale and what I can make with it. Or if we pick up large packages at Sams. On Sunday, I made a list and said here are your choices for the week. :laugh Some got smiles, some groans. But, it's all stuff they'll eat. I just don't say which day we'll eat what. It's in the fridge ready to go.

I do a little meal planning, as in I buy what I need for meals. When I cook those meals is totally flexible.

I think more long range - I may not cook at all this week, but I have the stuff to do it when I get the chance.

I try to make a list of a weeks worth of meals before I go shopping... with a couple of lazy options for leftovers N such. 8)

(Today we picked up a large pizza at Papa John's while we were out shopping to reheat on the pizza stone for supper tonight.
After we came home and put it in the fridge...I realized that our oven is still broken...so much for my menu planning skills...)

Today I'm using a tried and true "menu plan." I have a meeting tonight so the plan is that hubby is in charge of dinner.
