McCarthy Voted Out

Round two for Jordan failed.

With four House Republicans who supported Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, on Tuesday abandoning him Wednesday for other candidates for speaker of the House, there was mounting speculation that the House Judiciary Committee chairman was finished as a candidate for the House’s top job.

Hmmmmm.....

Don't be surprised if a new Speaker isn't elected by the time the 45-day extension on the CR expires. Sometime after that, they will have a Speaker.

At least the Democrats all voted for the same person for Speaker. These idiot Republicans needs to get their crap together and get a speaker nominated, all this infighting is really making them look dumb. Do they want the Democrats to get their guy in, having a minority leader as speaker when you have the majority? Unbelievable!

Well I'm glad the void is finally filled even though it wasn't by...well, you know who.

At least now if anything mysteriously happened to #1 and #2 we'll have someone voted-in for the #3 spot. I'm not certain but I believe they skip the #3 spot in succession if filled by a temporary occupant.
