They settle on a Republican candidate only to have him drop out because it is apparent he will not have enough votes to win. The longer this continues, the more it makes the Republicans look more stupid and divided. This is the crap that causes them to lose elections.

Indeed this guy sounds like he's a step-up from McCarthy. We'll soon find out.
Well I'm glad the void is finally filled even though it wasn't by...well, you know who.
At least now if anything mysteriously happened to #1 and #2 we'll have someone voted-in for the #3 spot. I'm not certain but I believe they skip the #3 spot in succession if filled by a temporary occupant.
