Mask up

At least he realizes now that he can't put a national mask mandate in place. That pesky constitution!
 
We already wear masks around here but for a completely different reason.
 
Here's the thing about masks... my rant :

Do masks work to reduce the amount of your spittle and coughing ???

Yes.

Are masks a magic talisman that are being overemphasized in lieu of much more effective measures ???

Also, yes.

For asymptomatic people, masks are simply a a social courtesy, and I am happy to oblige in required situations.
If you force or mandate me to wear a mask with absurd requirements,
I am going to rebel against this dehumanizing and harmful practice...

Facial expressions are essential for connection and communication and it breaks my heart unable to see your smile...
Seeing small children in masks is like a punch to the gut for me... the impacts of this cultural shift will be tremendous.

If Biden should try this... I will burn my masks on day one.

Here’s mine: If you see me (or anyone else) not wearing a mask you can assume I have no symptoms and have no reason to believe I’ve been exposed. Otherwise I would not be out and about or I would at least be wearing a mask. Likewise, if I see you (or anyone else) wearing a mask I will assume that you either have symptoms or have reason to believe you've been exposed and will keep at least 6 feet away from you (I can’t make any guarantees about the other 3 feet, they don’t listen very well). Your mask plus at least 6ft is suppose to work, right? Instead of thinking negatively at no masks let's try thinking positive.

If masks work so well, and KA is under a full mask mandate... why do we have a new stay at home order?

Basically Trump has been saying we have the vaccine by election time, and we want to get the kids back to school... biden is doing nothing new or extraordinary other than to take credit for what Trump was able to get done in one year that usually takes 4... but Trump was the bad orange one...

So how does he know that 100 days from January 20 it'll all be cool?

You see this is the sciencey horse hockey I hate. It's not science it's science sounding. No virologist mentioned anything about 100 days.

Do masks help? Yes.
Does social distancing help? Yes.
Does the virus know if you are in the food section or the sporting goods section of Walmart? No.
Does it know if you are protesting police brutality or what you believe is a shady election? No.

Here's what it says:

We'll have a ring side seat to the mass testing of the Vaccine soon, as Georgia's first allotment will be used on the front line of health care workers and emergency services personnel, then long term care patients as per Governor Kemp. Then we need to watch these folks for 14 to 30 days for adverse effects before I make a decision one way or the other. My wife heard that someone wants kidney patients to be on the short list to get the vaccine,,, which makes me think that there will be a fairly strict selection list to get the earliest treatments. LTD probably falls into this latter category, but the Chemo may put the kabash on that.
While I'm on the fence because I want to see how things go, I wonder if mask mandates will apply to those that have taken the vaccine, and if not, how can the "Mask Police" tell? Maybe those that get the vaccine should get a medallion to wear,,, like a Rabies tag!
What do you think, what color should it be?

True, I wish the news would actively trace the early testers and report the actual outcomes, and not just what the CDC wants released.
