Marriage

I'll tell you what...there is no way in the world that our next house won't have a fully equipped basement or in-law suite.

Ya'll need to pray for my husband, cause I'm about to find a reason to deport his ass. :pray God grant me the serenity not to kill this man.

I'm thinking they'll be having out of town company and the house is just not equipped for a long visit. I'm just guessing. :dunno

:spitchick

Just remember to hide the body well...

Both at home? :))
Mine gets a lot of weeks off during the year (he has been at the company for 20 years) and we can't afford to go away each time. Half way into the "vacation" I am telling him to rent movies and go watch them, I make a hair or nail appointment........ you get the idea. :))

LisaC gets it.

He can have a man-cave or I'll have a louge. Something to allow comfortable separation for periods of time.

Hubby used to travel A LOT - so much so that we at one time had an apartment in Jacksonville and a house in Charleston because he was there so much. I still miss those days of just being able to breathe without someone interrupting - I can totally relate.

I would tell you that it gets better, but I think you just adapt to it. Here's hoping the you and the hubby make through it without getting blood on the carpet!! ;D

My husband and I work together, spend all our spare time together, and are rarely separated, so I got nuthin' for ya. Well, maybe....

Good Luck! :B_S

I had to laugh at this....my sister made a post on face book the other day that her hubby Jeff was in the Keeping room watching TV.....So I am like...what an excellent idea....a KEEPING ROOM....maybe that's what you are needing.......LOL...Glad I don't have that problem....I have a road at the end of my drive way that runs north or south....is where I send my bf when needed....LOL

Yep. "She who adores me" and I worked together for years too, and we fought more than anything.

I could not work with my hubby! We would kill each other. We both are to head strong!

I'm fiercely independent, so marriage is probably a little harder for me than for most...and my posts are in jest. He's not going anywhere - and that's the problem.

I'm so thankful that we have the ability to look for the home we will spend the rest of our family raising life in...but, I tell you, being in this transitional house is going to kill me.

It takes time, but you will get there. Now, when the hubby gets on my nerves, I start asking him to help me do things in the house. He then remembers things he needed to do down in his garage...

:thumbsup

You know how I get mine to do projects that are unfinished? One of two ways....I either invite people over or plan a vacation. Without fail, he will decide to paint the house or build a wall within 30 minutes of either happening.

;)

With the exception of work, this is us. For the first half of our marriage BBG was in the Marine Corps so we rarely saw each other. After we got out, I cherished the time we had together....I still do. If he is not at work, 99% of the time we are together and even when he is working, most of the time we are talking or texting throughout the day.

After I was traveling and in hotels 4 nights a week for work, it was hard being home every night together. Before work travel, I was in night classes at KSU and often didn't get home until 9 or 10 every night.

Now I can't wait for him to get home.... But that may have something to do with a screaming child :dunno
