I'm doing the PI thing again. I received a case last night and had to be on site at 0500 to do some surveillance until 0900. I've been up since 0300.

Me too. I've been in my attic pulling speaker wires. even in this weather it's hot as hades up there.

I've been unpacking some more & hanging pictures, etc on the walls. Trying to get this finished so I can get back to crafting.

Sorry you're tired Fox. I slept good last night and got a lot accomplished today. Tomorrow is cooking and baking!! I love when it cools off, I don't like cold though. :girlsaysno

Man, I hated surveillance. Dirt easy money but BORING. And if you ever want a real glimpse of just how clueless people are, do some surveillance. Absolutely amazing how so many people seem to think they are invisible. :)) :)) :)) (That has to be it or why else would they make it so easy???)

Seriously though ... one of the dumbest ones I had was an insurance fraud case. The fool claimed that his back was permanently injured and he had all these issues because of it. Couldn't work, needed handicap tags, special treatments, etc. Funny how his bowling game didn't suffer. Idiot didn't even notice/care when I took pictures of him bowling. Those along with a copy of the score sheet from the desk and bye-bye fraudulently obtain free money. :)) Never did follow up to see if he ended up in jail or not.

Back in the mid 90's I had a tenant in one of my buildings, Trace Investigations, and whenever I was in the building they would flag me in to show me video of some idiots that they had video taped committing complete insurance fraud

Here's a good one I had one time. I had to conduct surveillance on him the day of a medical appointment. I videotaped him as he walked normally to his truck and got in. At the doctor's office, I videotaped him as he put on a cervical collar and then pulled a walker out of the back seat of his truck. He then walked to the building like he was an old man. After his appointment, he came back to the truck; took of the collar and put the walker in the back seat. I then followed him to Home Depot. I stayed outside. A half-hour later, I videotape him as he pushes a flat cart to his truck and then loads 14 40-lb bags of Quick Crete from the cart to the bed of his truck. I follow him back to his place and videotape him as he unloads them one bag at a time and carries each bag on top of his shoulder to the back of the house.

We have a hearing and he testifies he can't lift more than 15 lbs. When asked what would happen if he carried 40 lbs, he claims he would be flat on is back in bed for three weeks in severe pain. Then I testify and show the tape.

His workers comp was revoked, but unfortunately DA's won't prosecute these cases of fraud because they don't consider them "real" crime. Insurance fraud cost $100 billion dollars a year in this country.

The case I did yesterday was a domestic.
