And preferably a couple of cats
These vehicles are apparently highly prized for their frame in demolition derby cars,,, so you have both ends of the market going after them. Fortunately for the people that want to drive them on the street, there are plenty of old taxis and police car for the demo derby crowd.People troll the retirement villages in Florida just waiting for folks to die so they can buy these cars. I have a friend whose father lived in some huge trailer park retirement villages in Florida. When his dad died last year he had 2 notes stuck to the door offering to buy his Crown Vic before he could fly down there.
The front suspension and steering assembly is also highly prized for hot rods. These vehicles are apparently highly prized for their frame in demolition derby cars,,, so you have both ends of the market going after them. Not necessary, but possibly. Could need a new gasket, or could be something above the pan leaking. Could be a rear main seal lekaing. My co-worker is likely to be pissed at me soon. While looking for a car for her, I've decided to possibly buy one myself as a second car. I found one that looks good and is priced right so I got a pre-purchase inspection. Before I pass this car to her , can one of you more knowledgeable about cars tell me if the picture below is a bad sign? The inspection says "oil pan leak (minor)" and "oil residue on engine oil pan". To me it looks bad but maybe I'm overthinking it. Thanks!!!

Point being, better have a mechanic check it out.
EVERY household without a man bun needs a truck.Thanks. I think I'm just going to pass this one to her and let her deal with it if she chooses. It has a couple bodywork issues too that would drive me crazy.
I kinda miss having a truck so I'm looking at older used trucks too but they are way too expensive compared to every other type of vehicle.
That may be some type of spill that was wiped off. there is zero sprayback onto the transmission case. If there was any type of constant leak, the bottom of the trans would be wet and blackish.
Some may say the obvious...”cats”...but I think you really want it so you can moonlight as an Uber driver since they demonetized your cat channel. The lady at work passed on that car too but she did find a Town Car that she bought.
I was close to buying two different older (2011 and 2010) Dodge RAM 1500s but they both failed the inspections miserably. One wouldn't even stay in drive most of the time. I almost bit on a 2016 Ford F-150 but it was just way more than I wanted to spend for a second car and had more miles than I wanted.
Used truck prices are just insane right now. So, I did the next best thing and bought a.....
....wait for it.....
.....I'm going to catch heck for this.....
....minivan!

I know what you're thinking....that I am crazy (you may be right!). This thing will serve all the purposes I need for hauling anything that I would ever haul in a truck (all the back seats fold down into the floor). It was WAY cheaper than a used truck (about half with similar age and miles). And it is loaded....no cheapo truck roll up windows and manual door locks.
OK....you may now start with all the 'you bought a minivan!' comments.
