Obama gut-busting lunch menu tops 3,000 calories

The ceremonial lunch President Obama and his former congressional colleagues are eating Monday tops out at 3,000 calories, according to a website that has tallied up the luxurious menu of lobster, bison and apple pie



HealthyFoodRecipe.net posted the full menu, complete with its calorie count, and said it was “unsatisfactory” to see such an unhealthy spread, given first lady Michelle Obama’s push for healthier eating.
She has come under fire for the high-calorie counts of some of the state dinners she’s hosted at the White House.

The menu was determined by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugurual Ceremonies, which is chaired by Sen. Charles E. Schumer, New York Democrat. Mr. Schumer’s home town of New York already requires all fast-food chains to post calorie counts.

And soon the rest of the country will have to follow suit. Mr. Obama’s health law includes that same requirement.

I still can't figure the whole reasoning behind that one out! That and what they consider vegetables, starches, and protein.

They are offering up to 4 choices of fruit now... but they only get one ...and if they want juice, their poor tray looks absolutely empty of food! :tapfoot2 So very sad.

But Moooooochella still eats like King Henry the Pig.... no cut back on her choices... and you can bet the 0bamas will have Lobster in the meal. :girlsaysno

Your liberal friend misses quite a few points. One, the Obama school lunch menu doesn't give the students the same choice opportunities as Moochelle gives herself. Second, if the school lunch menu established by Moochelle's "calorie law" applies to children, should it not apply to her as well? I bet her daughters lunch menu at the private school they attend doesn't go by her "calorie law."

Second point is vaguely addressed in the first - hypocrisy on her and her family's parts. You see in the inaugural lunch video where she is stuffing her face with a 3,000 calorie lunch; much more calories than what's on the school lunch menus at our public schools. How many pictures did we see of her husband the president stuffing his face with a hamburger, hot dog, ice cream, and other things she says is unhealthy for the rest of us?

Third if she is exercising so much, why is her ass just as big today as it was when her husband took office?

Moochelle... that is harsh. I think she has a nice figure!!! A LOT skinnier than mine...that is for sure!

Amen!! When I'm her size then I can complain about what she eats... She has curves, there is nothing wrong with that. Me, I have a curve - ONE, it goes all the way around me....

Amen!! When I'm her size then I can complain about what she eats... She has curves, there is nothing wrong with that. Me, I have a curve - ONE, it goes all the way around me....

I believe she has a great shape ..a Realistic shape for a woman...and for a man or woman and to try and put focus on that is crazy
