So the Queen and I were standing in line for the Incline Railroad in Chattanooga this weekend.
When we bought our tickets at the window we were told to expect an hour wait on both ends of the tour, we were fine with it and proceeded to the formed line. Not long afterwards others lined up behind us and universal harmony was intact, I even thought I heard Heavenly Voices in the distance. Suddenly a lady and her two kids work their way through the line and stop in front of us which made us do a double take and wonder if we had missed something, but harmony was maintained. Not long afterwards the father walked up, joined his family, like nothing ever happened. The Voices were now becoming somewhat faint. As the line continued its slow progression suddenly another family, unrelated to our newest friends, barged their way through the line and stopped ahead of us. Another double take and suddenly the Voices were gone or at least replaced with some not so nice grumblings. As the line progressed the Queen and I discussed the unexpected events so as we approached the next corner in the railings we did what any southern baptist would do, WE CUT BOTH FAMILIES OFF LIKE IT WAS THE LAST TURN IN NASCAR'S DAYTONA 500 THEN SPRAWLED ACROSS THE RAILING AS NOT TO LOSE THE LEAD. It was a skillful move requiring perfect timing and distraction but pulled off with such mastery of skill, it was quite impressive. Suddenly the clouds parted, the sun shined down on us, and the voices were again heard from the sky. Wait, that might have been me laughing.
