Let me educate the president about police work

The reported sequence of events, also supported by witnesses.

- Officer Wilson pulls up behind the 2 thugs who are walking in the middle of the road and asked them to get out of the street. He is still in his car.

- When the thugs ignore him, he begins to exit his vehicle. But before he can get out the thug lovingly referred to as the "gentle giant" pushes Officer Wilson back into the drivers seat and beats him in the face until his orbital bone fractures.

- The thug begins to walk away. (Keep in mind at this moment the thug has committed aggravated battery on a police officer - forceable felony)

- Officer Wilson exits his vehicle, draws his weapon and orders the thug to stop.

- The thug turns and states in summary, "You think you're gonna shoot me" and begins to rush at Officer Wilson.

- With 100% justification, Officer Wilson fires 6 shots. To kill the thug? No. To stop the threat.

If these facts are indeed accurate, Officer Wilson did his job properly and is, I say again, 100% justified in his actions. Case Fricken CLOSED!
Apparently that summary appears to be more accurate by the day. If indeed correct then I completely agree...case closed. As for the initial handling of the aftermath which followed we will just have to respectfully disagree.

That's cool. I would suggest however that there would have been no need for any response if a certain group of people would have waited for an investigation of the incident and if the grievance industry currently presided over by Al Sharpton would have minded his own business and let that gaping wound under his nose scab over.

BAM!!! This post says it all (IMHO):

:)) No, really it is need there.

BTW for anyone, apparently the officer was hurt (I believe noted above in an article) why did the police chief not make some type of statement about that when releasing his name? That has stuck with me because not that it would have stopped any of the craziness, but I feel as if it would have given pause to many that have been reporting and possibly some that went there just because they felt they had to "fight the cause." :dunno

In my opinion the chief came across as an idiot. It was obvious he was not as prepared as he thought he was to give a press conference. He screwed that all up.

I heard on the radio Al Sharpton wanted money from the Brown family in order to lead protests. He didn't get it, so he left.

More than anything else the media is responsible for the aftermath circus of this shooting,
their ridiculous and irresponsible response continues to help fan the flames of discontent.

Especially since it takes attention away from the disaster that is this current administration. :rant

SD, I wondered that, too, and my thoughts pretty much equal Boss's. What a maroon. Why on EARTH wouldn't you get that out there? They said he's the one who took him to the hospital, for crying out loud.

I've seen that Chris Rock thing before, and I just about die laughing every time I see it. :D

I agree with both of you, that man should have a public spokesperson and not get in front of a camera.

Here is an article I just saw - apparently the eye socket may not have been fractured...

http://www.vox.com/xpress/2014/8/21/6054237/source-to-cnn-darren-wilson-didnt-have-a-fractured-eye-socket

Makes little difference one way or the other. The Officer was assaulted. But I hope it's not fractured and he heals sooner. Obviously this "gentle giant" was no Jay The Terrible Taylor or we know it would be fractured. 8)

I'll have to ask Jay's forgiveness for mentioning him and that thug in the same sentence. :pray

I don't know if it was or not since there is so much speculation in this case. But, this makes more sense since I would think that a fracture would have pretty painful and the officer was seen walking around the scene after the incident.

I know. Everything in the world is videoed on someone's phone except for what we really need videoed. ::)

Found this article today regarding a Crowdfunding site raising over $225,000.00 for officer Wilson. Pretty cool.

http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/michael-brown-shooting/225-000-crowdfunding-raised-support-darren-wilson-n186616

Some members of the news media are upset with the Ferguson PD because they have asked for a copy of the "incident report." What they received was nothing more than a report that stated the officer was involved in a fatal shooting and it was turned over to the St. Louis County PD for investigation. They expected something from the PD that would have Officer Wilson's statement of what occurred on it. Stupid news media.

The area "community leaders" have said that although there were no arrests last night, that violent rioting will ensue if Wilson is not CONVICTED OF MURDERING BROWN. Not tried mind you, and not just found guilty of manslaughter or worse, not following department policy, but full blown Murder. So much for the constitutional presumption of innocence. This is the 21'st century version of a lynching. Just get the government to do it for you.

Obviously the "community leaders" don't care about justice.

That should be considered a terroristic threat.
