latest about the pope

We haven't had any news about the Pope around here lately, so I figured I'd give some. Two things I found of interest lately:

I read the other day that he ditched the PopeMobile...he said it was too confining and he didn't like being separated from the people who had come to see him. He said he's old anyway and doesn't have much to lose.

The other thing was that I just read that he called the Foley family after he heard about their son being beheaded. They are Catholic, and James Foley went to Marquette (a Catholic institution). He wrote something for the school after the first time he was kidnapped about how prayer helped him through it. I thought it was incredibly kind of the Pope to call them.

I like! He definitely seems to be a people person, and to have a genuine heart for others. That goes a looooong way in my book. :love
