Last Ditch Effort....

@rolltidega, that question you just asked on Facebook....just get @Guard Dad and @J-man over there and feed them some chili. Then have them stand facing away from the object to be moved. Then wait a couple minutes.

However, I would caution that standing on the other side of said object is probably not a good idea.

And what if there's a spark?

Yeah I think I will pass on that. I will prob have to pay a flat bed wrecker to come get it.

So how did this offer go?

Housing Trends are not good for sellers:

Housing Inventory Just Hit a High Not Seen Since 2020—With More Lower-Priced Homes, Too

So far, 2024 is shaping up to be no different, with the price of a median home rising about 1.5%, to $415,500 in February compared with $409,500 in January.

Annually, home price growth has slowed. The median list price ticked up by just 0.3% compared with last year.

Hale adds that, according to economic forecasts, “home prices will be relatively stable in 2024. We’ll still see the usual seasonal ramp-up, but I don’t expect to see much growth beyond that.”

Another bright spot on the affordability horizon? More homes for sale saw price reductions, with the percentage increasing to 14.6% this year compared with 13.2% last February.

“A rising share of price reductions suggests that today’s sellers are responding to market conditions and motivated to adjust to find buyers if they find they’ve priced too high initially,” says Hale.

I was going to update later. We will be finished with the due diligence period on Monday. Everything is poining to a successful sale and closing on Good Friday. We are having our home inspection as I type this message. This is the inspection requested by the buyer. As long as nothing major is found here, we should be in good shape.

Happy End of Due Diligence Day! I have done 2 of the repairs the seller has asked for. The last repair requires a plumber and that will happen today or tomorrow if the repair is actually needed.

This means we are set to close on March 29! Now I get to start packing the stuff I do not need on a daily basis.

As if I did not have enough to do, my daughter found a cheaper rental home and is moving on April 1. That means we move Mar 29 and then we get to spend the weekend helping the kid get ready to move. Also, in her wonderful wisdom, she had put a wall covering on a wall that is similar to wallpaper but is supposed to peel off without wall damage. Well that was false. Now we get to repair this so her security deposit will not be taken from her. When will she learn to stop putting stuff on walls in a home SHE DOES NOT OWN?
