Pursuit Driver
I hate reading a decently-written book where I don't like the main character. it's one of the reasons I don't like GWTW...I hate Scarlett! I just finished "Closure", which is meant to be a Tom Clancy sort of book, only for FBI instead of CIA. The main character is supposed be a hero Jack Ryan type, but I found him to be majorly annoying. Really didn't like his wife, but thankfully she's not in the book much. But even more annoying than the two of the is another FBI agent who is "the one who got away"...nothing happens between them inn this book, but she was whiny and pouty, inserted herself into dangerous situations where she had no business being (she was was a crime scene tech), and continuously fussed about the main character not doing what she wanted him to. I wanted to slap her. Then, as if this were not enough, I COMPLETELY liked and sympathized with the bad guy, even though what he was doing goes against everything I believe in. Well-written book, but completely sucky characters and minor storylines.

Hmmm, is that an ebook, the first in a series? I think I have it, but have not read it yet. Should I skip it?

It is an ebook and the first in in a series, but it may also be hard copy. It was free on Kindle the other day. I wouldn't say don't read it...it's quite well-written and held my interest and he tied up all his loose ends, etc. I was just annoyed by the protagonists. I'm weird like that. :D

The reason I've never bothered to watch GWTW, in it's entirety, is because of the mail character.

Scarlett wasn't a good person, but I really enjoyed GWTW. The several times I've read the book and the hundreds of viewing of the movie. :laugh

Reminds me. It's been a few years. It think I'll re-read once I finish The Nightmare Merchant. (shameless plug)

I've seen it as a suggestion on my Kindle. I may skip it.

I felt that way when I read "Rain Girl".
